Sun-shiny days

I really love doing photo sessions outdoors when the sun is shining. For me, I love the bright, warm energy that sunny photos produce. There is a light quality with sunny days that I really love with family photos. These photos were captured on one of those sunny days at a local park. It was a great setting for the session so the boys could run and play, and enjoy the fountain with fish ducks and turtles, giving lots of opportunities to capture candid moments. Toddler Days

Toddlers are so much fun to capture! They are filled with energy for days, a range of expressions and emotions, laughter, tears and everything in-between. These moments are raw and real and I love watching toddlers in action. Mom and Dad wanted photos with their energetic dog too, which made the shoot even more playful. It was fun capturing everyday moments shared in this family that will forever remind them of this time in their lives!

Beautiful in yellow & blue

I love the color choices made by this family for their holiday mini session. It was colorful and so well coordinated and a combo I hadn’t seen before! We did the session at Temescal Gateway Park in Pacific Palisades on my 30 minute holiday mini session day and we captured lots of fun photos of this beautiful bunch. Portraits and Play

On every session I strive to find a balance between capturing portraits and candid lifestyle shots. To me, it is really nice as a mom to have a smiley happy family photo. It is what most people are looking for in a shoot. But kids don’t have a lot of patience for traditional portraits so I love to mix in some playful photos. I love when kids are kids and get to show their sweet, silly, playful side. Here is a session where I had fun capturing a range of these darling children.

You are my sunshine

This was my second photo shoot with this precious family and I loved their creative ideas and new location suggestions! We started at a very cool urban art wall and then made our way to a nearby park. We ended the session with jammies at home, a great mix of emotions and different looks in one session! There was lots of affection and love captured, many smiles and wonderful memories documented. Here are my favorites!

Play time!

Over the last couple years I have had the pleasure of getting to know this beautiful mom and her sweet little girl and boy. When I was asked to photograph them I was flattered and excited! We did the shoot at La Brea Tar Pits/LACMA which always has so many wonderful location options. It is great for kids so we can keep moving around and they don’t get bored. Sweetest Little Monkey

Newborn baby Quinn was as sweet as could be at his newborn photo shoot. With the exception of a couple feedings he was sleepy and cuddly and simply precious. Happy Family

This was my second shoot with this happy family who had me back to document their newest family member. Two cuties!

I absolutely love watching families grow.
