I was skeptical to go downtown LA to a park I had never seen for this family session. To my great surprise, it was absolutely breathtaking and such fun to shoot in a new place! If you have not visited Vista Hermosa Park, it is worth going to! It was a charming and quaint park among the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. There was greenery, walking paths, views of the cityscape and even a playground. Here are some samples from this session.
When this kindhearted dad contacted me he had a vision in mind for his photo shoot. He was looking for photos of himself with his daughters in a natural setting capturing more candid moments documenting this age and time in their lives. We took the pictures at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge and WOW what a perfect setting. It was green and lush with countless picture perfect backdrops. It was really nice to watch this amazing man interact with his sweet girls. So many favorites, it was really hard to choose:
Last holiday season (I am still playing catch up on my blog posts) I photographed this sweet family of four for mom’s birthday and their holiday card. It was a quick shoot and it was the first time I had a family in all black and white clothing….great idea! The tent made for a colorful and playful background and we had a really fun shoot. Last holiday season I shot these pictures at a local Beverly Hills Park. I have photographed Chase since he was a newborn and he is so sweet and full of life. We had a perfect morning and captured photos that I adore. Here are the standouts:
I am so lucky to have gotten to know this incredible family over the years. This was our shoot #4 and this time they had a new family member! I have had the pleasure of watching these sweet boys grow before my eyes over the years. Our first session together was when their oldest son was just four months old, one of the first baby shoots of my career. From moving homes to welcoming family members, I have been lucky enough to capture their special family moments. For this shoot, we went to a local park and let the boys be boys. Maya and Jonah were full of smiles during our session at their home. It started with the kids, then we did family photos and finished with a first birthday cake smash for little Jonah! I had also done Maya’s cake smash when she turned one! We had a great time shooting at home and on a walk down the street. Here are some favorites!
Colton and Audrey were the stars of this shoot that we did at La Brea Tar Pits and LACMA. Full of energy, they were running, laughing, playing and keeping me on my toes to capture these wonderful moments. It was a really great shoot of a beautiful and loving family.
The first time I photographed baby guy was in his first week of life during his newborn photography session. Well, we did another family session as a mother’s day gift to his mom. We held the shoot late afternoon at the La Brea Tarpits. It was a wonderful setting for photos. Guy was so observant, checking out all that was around him. He is a focused and sweet little boy and it was such fun to see how he has grown. Here are my selects from our shoot:
