Happy New Year Friends!

It has been awhile since I have been on the blog- it was a really busy fall photographing families for their holiday cards and I had to take a break from blogging for awhile. Now I am back to a normal shoot schedule and I am excited to show you some of the photo sessions I captured. This is a family I have had the pleasure of photographing since their second child was born. They recently had a third and it was an amazing shoot. The kids were so in love with their baby brother and the parents were kind and easy going. All-in-all it was a wonderful session! Here are some favorite moments captured:

And suddenly you were our everything.

Photographing precious newborn babies is such fun for so many reasons. As a mom, I am no longer in the “baby phase” of life and I miss those tiny little humans. I get my fix each and every time I get to photograph a newborn. I also absolutely love watching parents in the early stages of parenthood. There is such a newness, a love that is so rich and full- and I get to capture it for them. This sweet baby girl was perfectly sleepy throughout her session with me. I love the pictures we took and had such a great time documenting the love in this home.

Precious in Pink

Sweet little Jemma was so tiny and amazing at her newborn session. We started with family and sibling shots which she was mostly awake for, then we did the sleepy newborn posed shots and she slept like a champ! We captured such a nice variety of photos and this family was so fun to work with. I really love newborn sessions because there is so much love to capture (and I get my newborn baby fix 😉) Here are the photos from this precious newborn session!

A little sneak peek

I completely respect my clients’ privacy which is why I always ask before using their photos online (blog, social media, etc). Colorful newborn floral blooms

A few weeks ago I photographed a family who was welcoming a newborn baby girl into their family. We started the session with big brother who was thrilled to have a baby sister. He was so gentle and sweet with her, it was precious to watch and document. Mom wanted to capture their family in a way that felt natural and less staged, so we did a series of them all in their bed as they interacted as a new family of four. For the newborn solo shots, they had a bunch of floral props which were perfect for a spring newborn session and made for some beautiful photographs. I just love the color palate throughout this series of images! So many special photos were captured, here are my favorites from this amazing newborn photo session:

Sugar & Spice

I have had the privilege of photographing this beautiful family since they were pregnant with their first child. Fast forward a few years and along came #2! Watching big brother with his sister was a real treat. He had such a gentle touch and it was really sweet to witness. Once again I loved working with them and I adore the photos we captured!

“D” is for Dylan

Sweet baby Dylan was tiny and precious on her newborn photo shoot. She initially fought falling asleep but eventually dozed off and we took some amazing photos. Sweet Angel.

Miss Parker was a sweet newborn baby girl I had the pleasure of photographing. Sweetest Little Monkey

Newborn baby Quinn was as sweet as could be at his newborn photo shoot. With the exception of a couple feedings he was sleepy and cuddly and simply precious. Three Boys!

I have known these darling boys for some time now and had the pleasure of photographing them last fall for their holiday card. Well, I was thrilled to take pictures again when they welcomed their newborn baby brother to the family. The big brothers were so sweet with baby Greyson, and they did an amazing job being photographed. I love the photos we took and adore these sweet boys!
