Last fall I photographed this sweet little girl at her home. She was almost two at our shoot so her mom wanted to document this special time in her daughter’s life. We captured photos inside her home and then went outdoors to play and take pictures with the grass and flowers. This little cutie had wonderful energy and big brown eyes. When the balloons were brought out she was glowing with excitement. Here are some favorite photos from our session:
After a bit of a break from blogging, I am back in 2016! I have been so excited about posting pics from this family holiday card shoot I did recently. We started out shooting at their beautiful home and then went for a little stroll in the neighborhood. This couple makes parenthood look easy and so much fun. Many laughs were had by all and I adore all the photos we took. Here are my favorites:
Sweet baby Dylan was tiny and precious on her newborn photo shoot. She initially fought falling asleep but eventually dozed off and we took some amazing photos. In my twenties, back when I started my photography business, I started out photographing musicians and celebrities. It was something I really enjoyed pursuing and met a lot of incredibly talented people along the way. I recently reconnected with one of the musicians from my past and had an amazing shoot. Patrick Joseph is an incredibly talented artist with whom I have had the pleasure of working with twice. I highly recommend checking out his music. Our first shoot was many years ago and we took pictures at Union Station and around downtown LA and then went to a state park in Topanga Canyon for a totally different vibe. This time we used a really cool vintage recording studio in Hollywood called Boulevard Recording. We then hit the streets of Hollywood for something with texture and edge. It was a really great shoot and a fun way to step back and revisit where my passion for photography began. So much has changed in my style but it was a really nice reminder that I still have a bit of rock n roll still in my heart. Here are some of my favorite photos from our shoot:
I recently had the pleasure of taking pictures of this gorgeous pregnant mama-to-be. She wanted to surprise her significant other with maternity photos so we did a variety of photos. We started indoors and worked our way to the beach. I had the best time getting to know this amazing woman and I absolutely love the photos. Here are my favorites from our photography session:
Miss Parker was a sweet newborn baby girl I had the pleasure of photographing. I always enjoy hearing about women’s experiences with labor and delivery and really enjoyed getting to know this kind mama. Parker had a wonderful temperament and made for a really enjoyable shoot. Newborn baby Quinn was as sweet as could be at his newborn photo shoot. With the exception of a couple feedings he was sleepy and cuddly and simply precious. His parents had a handful of personal items to incorporate into the shoot. The monkey was my absolute favorite and I adore the photos we took! Here are my favorites from the day:
I have known these darling boys for some time now and had the pleasure of photographing them last fall for their holiday card. Well, I was thrilled to take pictures again when they welcomed their newborn baby brother to the family. The big brothers were so sweet with baby Greyson, and they did an amazing job being photographed. I love the photos we took and adore these sweet boys!
I absolutely love photographing sisters because it brings back so many memories from my childhood. These two beauties were playful, energetic and covered an array of activities to keep themselves entertained. From an outdoor dance party, swings, reading, kitchen play, and artwork to bouncing on the bed and dressing up, we captured the essence of girls being young and full of life. Typically newborn sessions are done within the baby’s first 14 days of life. This ensures sleepiness, flexibility so they can go into those tiny tuck poses and also is the window of time before baby acne and dry skin are in full force. Well, although we slightly missed that time window (she was 3 weeks old), Jessie was definitely the exception to that rule and slept like a champ! We did the shoot at her gorgeous home near the beach where mom and dad had amazing props and a perfect setting for the shoot. I adore the photos and loved working with such a sweet little angel!
