Over the last couple years I have had the pleasure of getting to know this beautiful mom and her sweet little girl and boy. When I was asked to photograph them I was flattered and excited! We did the shoot at La Brea Tar Pits/LACMA which always has so many wonderful location options. It is great for kids so we can keep moving around and they don’t get bored. I adore the photos we took and these are some of my favorites from the shoot:
Sweet Angel.
Miss Parker was a sweet newborn baby girl I had the pleasure of photographing. I always enjoy hearing about women’s experiences with labor and delivery and really enjoyed getting to know this kind mama. Parker had a wonderful temperament and made for a really enjoyable shoot. Here are my selects from our photo shoot:
Cutest little newbie!
I am always excited when parents have personal items to incorporate into the newborn photo session. These awesome parents had some really fun and unique props that made for some really sweet photos with a personal touch. This little guy took a little while to fall asleep but once he was out we got some darling pictures. Here are my favorite photos of this loving threesome:
Daddy’s Girls
When this kindhearted dad contacted me he had a vision in mind for his photo shoot. He was looking for photos of himself with his daughters in a natural setting capturing more candid moments documenting this age and time in their lives. We took the pictures at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge and WOW what a perfect setting. It was green and lush with countless picture perfect backdrops. It was really nice to watch this amazing man interact with his sweet girls. So many favorites, it was really hard to choose:
Sweetest Little Monkey
Newborn baby Quinn was as sweet as could be at his newborn photo shoot. With the exception of a couple feedings he was sleepy and cuddly and simply precious. His parents had a handful of personal items to incorporate into the shoot. The monkey was my absolute favorite and I adore the photos we took! Here are my favorites from the day:
newborn beauty
A couple years ago I captured newborn photos of this sweet little boy. It was such an honor to see him again as he welcomed his new baby sister to the family. Once again they had the most darling newborn family heirlooms to use as props in the photos (baby bonnet, blankets, etc). I really enjoyed seeing them again and capturing this amazing time in their lives.
Purple Palate
A few years ago I met this family as we captured their sweet daughter Zoey’s newborn photos. Fast forward to January and I got to photograph Zoey and her darling sister Mia! The family had moved to a new home and Zoey was thrilled to take pictures with her sister and pose for the camera. So much love and happiness was felt throughout the shoot. And I absolutely love the purple color palate that was captured! Here are my favorite photos we took:
Sibling love.
One of the highlights of my job is to watch siblings interact with one another and tap into their personalities and relationships with one another. These gorgeous kids had a special chemistry that was really special to be a part of. I photographed these cute kiddos when the twins were brand new babies, welcomed by their big brother and family. Today they are three peas in a pod and are absolutely darling. Here are some highlights from our session:
Energy for days…
I have had the pleasure of watching these sweet boys grow before my eyes over the years. Our first session together was when their oldest son was just four months old, one of the first baby shoots of my career. From moving homes to welcoming family members, I have been lucky enough to capture their special family moments. For this shoot, we went to a local park and let the boys be boys. Another wonderful shoot with an awesome family:
Time Flies!
It has been quite awhile since I posted personal photos of my little ones, now 4.5 and 2.5 years old. I feel so lucky to not only do what I love for a living, but to also be able to spend so much time with my children, watching them grow and capturing the important times in their lives. Here are some of the photos I have taken over the past year and a half and what they were taken for:
This photo was taken for their 1st and 3rd birthday invitation. We had a joint bubble birthday party, hiring a bubble specialist to entertain the kids.
This photo was taken for Jaelyn turning three and Griffin’s 11th month:

This one was taken on a tripod.
Summer vacation at the beach 2014:
And this is their cousin Beckett who was vacationing with us. Love this shot of the two together!
My daughter and her friend Harley had a Frozen 4th birthday party. These were the invitation photos (one of each girl as Elsa since they both adore her!)
Griffin’s 2nd Birthday invitation (superhero party, of course!)
Holiday Card 2014 (caption: nothing beats the holidays)
This was an outtake and my favorite image of the shoot but I went with the shot above for a more warm fuzzy photo.

Taken a week ago, this was to document their half year marks and new haircuts!
