Anyone who has a toddler and a baby knows it is an energetic, busy time in life. I have been photographing this precious family since their daughter was born and I have loved watching her grow! At this stage we let her guide the shoot from portraits to play to capture a range of images and capture this fun time in their lives. I absolutely love the action shots and photos that are true to toddler-hood. Here are my selects from this at-home family photography session.
It has been 3 years since I have posted to my blog and I have really missed this aspect of my work. I find it so challenging to take so many photos I love and then only really use one or two on my website (BeautiesandBabies.com) or instagram page (@BeautiesandBabies). Blogging is a nice way to reflect on the sessions I have done and see all the photos I really enjoyed capturing with the families I work with. Here is a really sweet family I got to work with over the holiday season. They had two precious and smiley girls who made my job incredibly easy. I am crazy about these photos and here are my favorites from the session!
After several days of rescheduling for rain, we finally got a beautiful day for this sweet family’s home photo session. These adorable boys were all smiles and sweetness through the shoot. This was my second shoot with this happy family who had me back to document their newest family member. We did the session in their home which I always love since it adds a personal touch to the photos. The kids were darling and so happy and it was a wonderful shoot. I loved shooting this gorgeous family in their beautiful home. It was icing on the cake to see how well coordinated they were with the environments in their house! Sweet baby Norah and her parents were in town visiting relatives and asked me to photograph their family at a family member’s home. When I arrived I was blown away by the lush garden greens and flowers blossoming everywhere. It really was a treat to see such an enchanted garden. And Norah was sweet as could be with bright eyes and an easy temperament. It was a joy photographing this loving family and the photos are some of my favorites to date!
With a first birthday around the corner, we took photos of this loving family before the birthday celebration. We held the session at their home and the boys were sweet and silly with loads of smiles. I always love when bubbles and balloons are used as props because they are so fascinating to the little ones and make for some really sweet expressions. Here are my favorite photos from the shoot:
Once again I was given the opportunity to photograph Paige Lauren’s beautiful baby clothing line. We did the summer collection at the beach. We gave the images a vintage feel, which paired perfectly with their bright summer palate. The baby models could not have been cuter and I love the photos we captured. Sweet little August was getting ready to celebrate his first birthday and what better way than with a cake smash shoot! We started out capturing pictures with mom, baby and doggie at their home. Although he was not a fan of his birthday cake, he LOVED his bath that immediately followed. Such happy photos of a lovely family:
I am so lucky to have gotten to know this incredible family over the years. This was our shoot #4 and this time they had a new family member! Big brother was great with his little bro and as always, I had the best time catching up with the parents and photographing this warm family. Here are photos of this family of four:
