Often times people who have never done a family photography session are unsure what to expect. It can be stressful planning the clothing, getting ready and to the shoot on time, picking a time of day that works best for schedule and kids temperaments, etc. Then the uncertainty of how kids will respond to being photographed is another factor. I get it completely and try to do my best on my end to make it as easy on parents as possible. I like to encourage laughter and play during the shoot to make it feel less like work and more like fun to the children. I find that brings forth the best and most genuine smiles. The kids in this session were so much fun and brought an energy that made my job easy. They laughed, ran, played and I clicked away. I think we captured a nice mix of portraits and play which is always my favorite approach to a family session!
