People often ask me what time of day is the best for photography. My feeling is that is varies throughout the time of year. In the late fall/winter, I am completely comfortable shooting any time of the day because the sun never goes directly overhead. The days are shorter and so a mid-afternoon session is required to have enough light. In the late spring/summer months the mid-day light is quite harsh and undesirable. In that case I would suggest early morning or later afternoon light. The closer you get to sunrise or sunset, the more magical and soft the lighting becomes. This session was done later in the day close to sunset which gave us a really beautiful light quality. I love the photos we took and here are my selects.
